Garrett Planning
Network.
The Garrett
Planning Network, Inc. (GPN) is a nationwide network of
professional, Fee-Only financial advisors. GPN members are
dedicated to providing competent, unbiased financial advice to
people from all walks of life, on an hourly as-needed basis.
Only 1% of the nation's financial planning firms are structured
this way.
As
staunch consumer advocates and Fee-Only client fiduciaries, GPN
Members continue to demonstrate their commitment to serving the
public's best interests
Many financial
advisors accept clients only if they meet certain income and net
worth requirements. GPN members believe, however, that
professional, unbiased financial advice is something all
Americans need, at least periodically, to build the brightest
financial futures. Holding to this philosophy, GPN members offer
the same quality, professional advice to all clients, not just
the affluent. If you simply need a one-time or periodic
consultation, a GPN member will be happy to meet with you on an
as-needed, hourly basis. On the other hand, if you need and
desire professional assistance with plan implementation
and follow up, GPN members will be happy to discuss what might
be an appropriate ongoing relationship.
"There has been a
natural progression of successful planners and financial
advisory firms moving up-market and raising their minimums,"
says Sheryl Garrett. "At the same time, there are more clients
seeking services than there are qualified financial planners --
and the fact is a large segment of the population simply cannot
afford the fees or meet the minimums many planners impose. In
addition, more and more middle-income and pre-semi-affluent
clients are seeking fee-only advice. This has created an
enormous need for hourly, as-needed financial planning and
advice. I've always felt the best way to get the most unbiased
advice is to find a qualified planner who charges on a Fee-Only
basis, and charging hourly enhances that unbiased nature,"
concludes Sheryl.
Because GPN
members focus on meeting the unique needs of "everyday, average
Americans," the network has already been the subject of numerous
articles and interactive online discussions within the financial
services industry. GPN is also listed as the financial planning
network of choice in two "Now What?!" series books: "I
Haven't Saved a Dime, Now What?!" by Barbara Loos and
"I'm Retiring, Now What?!" by Hope Egan and Barbara Wagner.
